Fantastic Vacuum

Although the vacuum is a re-conditioned item, it performs like a powerful groundbreaking new item.

It is adjustable for different surface cleaning height; comes with different accessaries for different cleaning needs. Fantastic routine in my opinion. I reckon some reviews rated its weight as a con, and it does feel a small bit heavier compare to small vacuums, but it has a motor w/ the system, when you turn it on for cleaning, it does go itself forward. Doesn’t really need to push it. Color-wise, I got mine blue, it’s not that terrible looking. I mean you don’t place any vacuum cleaner on show case, why should this one be~

Works fantastic, I like it alot, and it cleans my carpet and hardwood floor perfectly. as long as it lasts, I would not intend to switch to new one anytime soon.

Reconditioned Sweeper

Well vacuum was working excellent then all of a sudden the on off switch starting acting up. Then one day it wouldn’t start. The cost to ship back wasnt worth it. Starting to wonder if I want to keep ordering from here. I ordered a new one then the box had reconditioned on it. What a mess.

Excellent suction but looks like a used piece

If you are looking for an reasonably priced vacuum, this is fine. The Vacuum I received looks ancient, though a few parts are new. Like one other review on this, the indicator lights are covered up with a black sticker. The piece I recieved also had a scotch tape in the base that was broken. I don’t have the time to return and request another one.. so just using the same one. But if you are looking only for a excellent working vacuum, this would do.

Serves the purpose

I ordered this vac as a low cost option for my son’s apartment while going to college. The free shipping and price was fantastic, as was the service. It arrived sooner than expected. The vac seems to work well and does seem especially noisy as some claimed. Appearance wise, the only suggestion of being refurbished was a few cosmetic scuff marks. My only disappointment was that it was not like the model shown…it did not have the indicator light to verify floor was clean.

I bought this reconditioned in order to save myself a couple of bucks (or a hundred) and so far have used it 3 times. I bought this because my landlord had a much older vintage similar model, and I loved it. I am glad I bought this one; it is extremely effective and the sucking power is incredible, both with it in the vacuuming position and also positioned straight up in order to use the tools. It practically sucks dust bunnies across the room into the crevice tool! Only complaints are it is rather heavy and not simple to store away in my small home, but that was not unexpected.

I would buy it again; I have not emptied the dirt container yet so I haven’t run into any problems with that aspect of it, but I know what to expect from prior experience. I feel this was a fantastic deal [...].

I like this bagless

My Fantom bagless died suddenly, so I had to replace it quickly. After looking at several other makes and models, I chose to try the Hoover Bagless, the price was excellent and the tools on board with the spinning upholstery brush attachment looked like a excellent thought. I’ve had this model for about 2 years. It is allot more powerful than my ancient Fantom. It’s a excellent vacuum for the money spent. I like a bagless because you can see the dirt being picked up, and you don’t need to buy bags. The red light lets you know when dirt is being picked up and it turns green when the floor is clean. How cool is that………..

My Mom needed a new vacuum several months ago, so I got her this Hoover. Her cleaning lady really likes the cleaning power.

my last vacuum made it five years, and i was going to get a dyson, but then i came to my senses about spending that much for a machine. it does an brilliant job picking up the cat hair, dust and dirt – although i do reccommend that you empty and clean the cannister often for maximum routine. it works well- the only thing is that it does not come with the small power attachment that is in all the photos – it wasn’t a deal buster for me, but i was a small disappointed. overall for the price you can’t go incorrect

Fantastic Vacuum for a Fantastic Price

Brilliant Customer Service and a Fantastic Product

I was hesitant about purchasing this reconditioned vacuum cleaner and when I received it in the mail a week later…well, it didn’t work. My first thought was, “You get what you paid for”. That same night I emailed Amazon customer service about the faulty product. Shortly after sending the email I was told by Amazon Customer Service apologizing for the disappointing experience and was offered a refund or a replacement of another reconditioned Windtunnel vac. I chose to give it another try. It is a fabulous vacuum cleaner, I highly recommend it! I have two dogs and thought my rugs were cleaned well with my ancient vac, I’m still in ah at the amount of fur, dust and dirt the Windtunnel picked up from my “clean” carpet, the hand held power attachment for furniture is fantastic too. Oh, and back to the custom service experience, the replacement was shipped out the next day and I printed a return mailing slip emailed to me from Amazon for the broken one which they offered to pick up or I could drop it off at a local shipping location. Overall a very friendly, smooth and positive transition, right customer service does still exist! Thank you Amazon for providing a service that is hard to come by these days.

I was concerned about ordering a reconditioned vacuum but for the price (46 dollars at the time) I figured I couldn’t go incorrect. I was very pleased with the product delivered and it has worked wonderfully for me. It is very loud I will say that, but it is so much more powerful than the cheaper bagged uprights I always bought groundbreaking new. Also, the hose is much better, more flexible than the cheaper uprights. The bagless system is fascinating to me, and cleaning it out is just a snap, no problem at all. All in all I am very pleased with my buy.

Pros: Cleans carpet very well, has a excellent filter to keep fine particles inside, is pretty cheap.

Cons: Not excellent for bare floors. There is no way to turn off the agitator, so on a smooth surface it tends to simply throw the heavy bits (cat litter, large crumbs, sand) behind it rather than pick them up.

Other thoughts: cleaning fine particles (wood dust etc) off the filter is a mess.

This vacuum is pretty excellent for it’s price, but it’s only excellent on carpet.

Brilliant Customer Service and Fantastic Vacuum

I found this vacuum model through Consumer Reports as one of the higher rated models. The first vacuum I ordered was defective (stopped working within the first few minutes of use). I sent an email amplification why I was returning it and chose to have it replaced. The interaction was simple and even set up a pickup of my return by UPS the next day (free of charge)! The same day UPS picked the ancient one up from my house, the replacement was shipped. I got it in less then a week and am 100% satisfied.

The suction is fantastic, even when using the attachments. This was especially vital since I have carpeted stairs. The vacuum was well packaged and looks fantastic! I didn’t reckon it was particularly loud; sounded the same as any other vacuum I’ve had. Also, I didn’t have any problem carrying it up and down my stairs, so the weight wasn’t a problem either. I would highly recommend this product, especially for the price!

I was looking for a vacuum cleaner without the hassle of bags and this seemed to be a excellent choice. There are other expensive models and this one seemed a right fit for my needs. I got a fantastic deal on a reconditioned item and I really didn’t care its reconditioned because its a safe bet taking into account the money I’d lose if at all it goes terrible and its just a vacuum cleaner (not some intricate electronic or software) and yes it does come with warranty. It has a powerful motor with a lot of frills and it has probably paid for itself by now.

I felt dirty after using it…

Well, I’m not sure what to reckon. I’ve bought other reconditioned items before and been unquestionably satisfied with how they arrived. This package came to me with a large hole/tear in the box and no packing materials. The front of the vacuum looked worn. I would not go as far to say that it had “other people’s dirt” in it like another reviewer, but it was obviously used, though it appeared to have a new cord, roller and frills. The vacuum was seemingly unbroken after its journey in the holey box, so I assembled the handle and read the instructions before firing it up.

We bought this to replace an older (circa 1996) Hoover Windtunnel with bags which had begun emitting burning odors and got very hot during operation. The suction was still excellent, but it was really time to retire it. The Y bags on the ancient Windtunnel always seemed rather small, had to be replaced often and seemed to be going up in price. I had been wanting a bagless vacuum for several years. Being satisfied with my previous Hoover and with a price under $50 we chose to go ahead and order this despite the mixed reviews here.

It is very similar in appearance to my ancient Hoover. As others have mentioned, this reconditioned model is missing the “dirt sensor” feature. Annoying, but I was expecting that already. This has a few bonus features like a powered hand tool for cleaning stairs, etc. I was not particularly impressed by this attachment, and the attachment hose itself is not very long or substantial. The vacuum power of the hose is somewhat inadequate. With my previous Windtunnel, when I would use the extension hose it would have full power while in use and suction would stop at the floor level. This is not designed that way and has a much weaker suction. The vac itself is rather heavy and kind of loud, but again, I was not surprised by this, since this is the nature of this product.

Pro: The dirt chamber is simple to remove and place in, unlike other models I had looked at. It works very well and sucked up an unbelievable amount of dog/cat hair and dust. But, the small chamber filled up very quickly. The HEPA filter was positively choked with dust. This filter is located in the adjacent narrow chamber. The instructions indicate to tap the chamber against a garbage can to loosen all the dust. Probably more than half of it stuck onto the filter and in the recessed areas around it. I can see that this filter is probably going to have to be cleaned/replaced honestly quickly. The necessity to stop and dump the canister often caused dust to go everywhere. My hands were filthy. I felt like I had to take a shower after using it, not to mention my sinuses started to clog. I am beginning to wish I had gotten a non-bagless model…

So, I have mixed feelings. On one hand, this is an unbelievable price for a Hoover Windtunnel. It appears to be in fine working order. But, the dust chamber to me seems quite small compared to other models I looked at, and I don’t care for the filter location and crevices around the filter which collect dust. (I’m not speaking of the pleats on the filter itself, but the locking mechanism that holds it in). This may be a caveat that these type of bagless vacs have, since this is my first experience with owning one. I have heard that these filters can get clogged, but it seemed kind of extreme to me.

So, I am really not sure whether I would recommend it. At $50, it may be valuable as a second vac or to see if you like a bagless. I’m not sure that I do after this experience.

I like this product. I bought on Amazon for under $50. I had a dirt devil but was struggling with pet hair clogging the hose. Not with this. In one sweep of my house the canister was full and my house was clean. It is incredible. It feels self propelled and works fantastic on my laminated floor. I bought it with the intent of using it on my carpeted bedrooms, but I am so impressed that I am vaccuuming my whole house rather than sweeping. Would highly reccommend.

First, it was dirty and really beat up. A lot of scratches and all the writing was rubbed off. It looked like I bought it fro $5 at a garage sale and most significantly it doesn’t work. I’ve never seen such a crappy refurbished product. Usually they look like new. This literally looked like you took it out of someone’s garbage. I’m really disappointed because it’s really not that cheap.

I wasn’t too confident to buy this but we received a gift cert. so it was free. It worked pretty excellent at first, but after about a week it made some amusing noises and the suction stopped working. I would return it but I threw away the box and receipt. I wouldn’t recommend this vacuum. It’s also pretty heavy, I’m probably just used to my ancient frivolous vacuum.

I am a severe allergy sufferer. We went into an older home a few weeks ago, and the years of buildup under the carpets just overwhelmed me. This vacuum pulls it ALL up! Granted, I spent 11 hrs vacuuming the first weekend, and had to clean the filter every 2-3 minutes due to the buildup, but now I vacuum every day and can vacuum the entire house before having to empty the filter cup. This is an incredible product! Now, my mom, my sister, my grandmother, and I each own one. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially allergy and asthma sufferers.

Cons: The mechanism that keeps the vacuum handle upright when not in use did not hold initially. After manipulating it over a period of time it did work, much to my relief. So far so excellent after a month’s use.

Let me just start by saying the Hoover (when standing while vacuuming) does a decent job on carpets. When it comes to hardwood floor – the hard floor setting is weak. Further, the tools that come with are nearly not worth the time. They can’t pick up dust unless it’s an inch from the mouth. Have to use a separate, older, canister, Hoover to get that job done. Very disappointed…

Nice value but with design flaws

The vacuum pictured is not the one received, there is no cleaning sensor. When the container is clean the suction is really excellent, but I have veteran having to clean the container between rooms because of clogging in the filter between the first and second chamber, which is annoying. When the container has very small dirt with the majority on the filter between the chambers, I don’t see being able to empty the container when full because of this and do not be with you why it was designed with a container that size when only a fraction is used.

I like this vacuum…it came looking like groundbreaking new..could not tell it was refurbished…picks up dog and cat hair fantastically…couldn’t be more pleased with my buy!!!

Worth for the money

I was very skeptical about buying a refurb product. But to my surprise it is nearly like new. And it is worth the money. It is pulling in the dirt from deep and I am very pleased with that.

The only not so excellent thing about is that when you use the power brush even then also the floor brush runs. It is the only concern other than this it is over all fantastic product.

I have used this product for 4 – 5 times. And this review is based on that only.

Will update if any other things come by.

Hoover Vacuum works Fantastic!!!

I went ahead and bought this after reading reviews that it got full to quick and the attachment wand didnot suck. NOT Right!!! It is incredible the amount of dirt this picks up,Yes you may have to empty it a couple times the first use because it picks up so well but with continued use it keeps carpets and floors clean. The wand also has fantastic suction, others must not know how to use or clean the vacuum or something else because the one that I bought works and looks like new. If I did not know that it was reconditioned you could not of known.Also a pluss is I will never have to buy bags again. Very pleased with buy and free shipping.
